Peru is the Circus Capital of the World and the proud home of the Peru Amateur Youth Circus and Circus City Festival, Inc.
In mid-July every year we have a traditional Circus Parade - right through the middle of town. People come from all over to see authentic circus wagons, clowns, calliopes, wild animals, floats and bands.
Our parade is the only Circus Heritage Parade in the United States and second only in size to the Indianapolis 500 parade in Indiana.
